Nugget is a strong, bitter hop from the United States.
Due to their high alpha acid content they can be used for bittering in any number of beer styles. I've also seen recipes (usually American ales and especially IPAs) that use them for aroma and dry hopping.
They are yet another example of the new breed hops developed in America at the end of the twentieth century which are now popular with home brewers.
I've had success using them for bittering an English style IPA before finishing with more aromatic Kent Goldings.
